Some get angry and impatient with themselves when their imperfections follow their conversion

This too is a vanity

Imitation of Christ, 500 year book which has led millions if not billions in their journey to Perfect Love , tells us in Chapter 2: ( from THE FIRST BOOK, Admonitons ( a mild warning to correct some fault ) useful for the spiritual life.

There are many things, you can know but does little or nothing to profit your soul. He who knows himself well does not delight in the praises of men for what he knows. It is better to be a humble laborer who serves God than a proud philosopher who neglects himself, even in the studies of source of Perfect Love. It is better to feel and pass on His love rather than be able to define it.

There are many things you can know that do not profit your soul. Many words do not satisfy the soul. The soul is the bride and the Lord is the bridegroom. ( St John of the Cross )

Again as we stated before and will state again - If I understood al l things in the world and do not have love ( I Cor. 13:2 ), what would that help me in the sight of God, who will judge me according to my deeds . Each of us ultimately dies alone. Each of us have to report to God based on how we loved rather than how much we knew. Actually we should perhaps fear the knowlege we have been given for the more we know the more we are responsible for.

All of us are frail, and we should not think that anyone else is more frail than ourselves.

Let the refrain from St John of the Cross guide your soul -
I remained, lost in oblivion; My face I recline on the Beloved. All ceased and I abandoned myself, Leaving my cares forgotten among the lilies


I also like the song - Strangers in the night - for the night hides many secrets but still Christ waits for each of us around the corner as a stranger in the night who is ready lead you to the Perfect Love of His Father. Also know that the Holy Spirit is there to help you on your way since the Spirit is dedicated to the power of eternal love. The stranger in the night -be It the Lord God the Father, or His precious son or the Holy Spirit is waiting for you. And know Jesus is the Lord.
