economy without a social conscience

Here are some of our sites and links where we explore the latent response of philosophy and religion in the global economic arena where workers have no voice in the process of globalization and free trade.

In most cases we use the term liberalism related more to our workday has it has evolved in history.... than in identifying a particular poltical party and their being classified under the term liberals. Both those who call themselves conservatives for liberals follow Rousseau's social contract in terms of naturalism or rugged individualism which has embedded a slant on human nature that has to be questioned in terms of workers dignity.

Is human nature naturally good in the global economic arena

Rousseau left the door wide open for all kinds of unfair working conditions and where economics place is in our society. Is society supposed to serve economics or is economics supposed to be subject of society and serve it in a proper way? Where does the term rugged individalism take us in a global economic arena? Conservatives like to use the term Right to Work where individuals supposedly make their own choice about the workday but things work out other ways in the process. They are seem to support lock outs where workers protest working and pay conditions are locked out of their jobs. Replacement workers take their place who work for less. In our times this means workers have to compete for the same jobs based on the lowest possible working and pay conditions. This not a RIght to Work issue. It is a social conscience issue where society is usually degraded not upgraded.

Locked out workers bearing their cross - Right to Work issue ends up with a double meaning
