Economy in unchartered waters - The World's News. ...
A global economy in dangerous uncharted waters.

There should be an Economic Philosophy that challenges the degradation of the value of workers and labor. Human dignity is under seige in the work place. Why is this issue being ignored even by people of good will

Free trade has made workers the commodities being traded with the cost of labor being the core of it all.

How can the global economy like this create decent societies in balanced geopolitical settings? What is the Conservatives, Liberals and Liberatarians concept of fair play. The Free Market is not free. It has isolated the real Free Enterprise system. It is controlled by elite groupings, governments acting as dealersa and brokers and massive transnational corporations with many having more weatlh than some nations. Free trade economies are really based on making money on money instead of making things. Workers dignity is set aside in the process.

As noted there, most people know that there is something wrong about all human beings. Yet, we still are reluctant to make contact with an ultimate supernatural power about it.

It seems, the question of human weaknesses is reasonably pursued by many except when it comes to the workday. Somehow economics is put outside of the box of philosophy and religion as if it is impossible to address the inequities in our economic life. You would think there would be many people of good will who would pursue this endeavor but apparently, there are only a few who do.

As I noted in - the mutterings of a workers soul- former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan in using The New Harmony Workers Community as an example of attempts for the ideal life in harmony with the workday is impossible. Greenspan holds Capitalism as accomodating human nature in our economic life as the best possible answer. He says this even after our economy that is based on making money on money instead of making things as burned out. He maintains this as a vast new working poor class has been imbedded in the more prosperours nations a massive underclass in other nations by free trade and globalization.

Raw Capitalism without a conscience follows free trade ransacking the free enterprise system in its wake. Government controlled economic systems never really worked. Collectivism is not communitarianism. We now have a hybrid of Raw Capitalism and Communism in China. We have a new assortment of Socialist Capitalism in the U.S. with the government bailing out big money and holding stocks in corporations like GM.

Our economic day in is unchartered waters and it is difficult to predict what the outcome will be. Naturalism seems to have infected our workday where a combination of Rugged Individualism supported by Conservatives and a Surival of the Fittest in a Liberal format where workers have been degraded to new levels.

Naturalism claimed to be a new philsophy that flourished when Rousseau published his Social Contract. WIth Naturalism claiming human beings are born perfect but society comes and degrades their being. The environment makes human beings who are naturally good, do bad things. Rousseau never set down any standards to confront this process and said natural impulses were better than educated ones. This open the door to mass confusion of human nature and how it could be raised to higher levels for the common good of all.

Apparently, Rousseau's elements of a philsophy infiltrated our work day too. And the business world reflects this with an anything goes competitive turmoil. We find Naturalism and Rousseu contradicting their search for the truth in a society they claim is evil.

So this means everything breaks down to what any individual thinks what the right thing to do is outside of any reasoned standards. It also lets impulses governed transactions among human beings. It makes it very difficult to define what human nature is under these circumstances other than saying it is only human nature to do this or that. Like so many say, it is only human nature to shop for the cheapest price without being concerned how the price was arrived at or if consumers live off the suffering of others.

Economics is not something separate from the whole. Every transaction affects everyone in many ways. Not having a standard where we accept the fact we have fallen natures and must look outside ourselves to pursue perfection under a super natural entity who has the perfect way. Instead of seeking this out, we find ourselves with globalist free trade money changers who think greed is good and it accomodates human nature as is and not as what could be for the good of all.

What goes around comes around back to your own front door. What happens to other workers affects all.
