When you go green and buy things like energy saving light bulbs, do you ever wonder how many middle class production jobs were lost and how the bulbs are made in dirty factories in China with even pregnant women working near mercury waste with some cut my the broken glass in the process. Do you ever wonder what the economic and energy costs are getting them to market via long haul ocean, rail, truck and air shipping.
When you go green and are sold on buying a paper or cloth shopping bag to save the environment, do you ever think about the items inside the bag with the packaging required to get the food to your table and the energy costs and waste cost of the packaging itself....
