The Cross of 9/11 Tangle of Terror by Ray Tapajna asking who can now untangle the terror, Globalization and Free Trade have Bred
Are we in a moral fog ? Have we dismissed the last five centuries in the search for authentic human values? Have human beings been "commoditized" at the expense of human dignity? What makes people willing to be human bombs?
The events of 9/11 are difficult to put into words. It's difficult to express all of the feelings one might have after this assault on humanity in general.
The art is symbolic of all who have endured this terrible happening and especially it is in honor to those who died. It is also in honor to those brave souls who responded in all sorts of heroic ways.
The Cross on top of the rubble is not the end. The Cross always includes the coming of Easter when Hope is renewed and all is made right even out of the worst possible suffering.
Is it time to find ways to Live in the Ressurection while on earth?
"One of the worst vices of the modern world is its dualism, the dissociation between the things of God and the things of the world. The latter, the things of social, economic and political life, have been abandoned to their own carnal law, removed from the exigencies of the Gospel." ( Jacque Maritain )
